AST Marine Sciences Ltd is pleased to announce a new inshore vessel monitoring project to support the FAO and the Malawi Department of Fisheries in improving the sustainability of fisheries targeting Blue Mbuna and Dogtooth Cichlid in Lake Malawi.

Inshore vessel monitoring project to support the Malawi Department of Fisheries

This involves providing an advanced shoreside VMS application (GAP) including local VMS and hardware installation training and support services.  Catch reporting – AST is supplying a bespoke Malawi Fisheries the iCatch application to enable catch data to be reported to the Department of Fisheries via the Fishers own phones.
