JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for prospecting and closing revenue-generating opportunities related to the Oil and Gas Service industry.
  • Fully understand client organisations within these markets, their business models, goals and strategies to drive business development activities.
  • Continuously set up client meetings and presentations along with participating in partnership projects.
  • Build a pipeline and document activities in CRM (Accounts, Opportunities, Contacts, Visit reporting, etc.)
  • Leverage all AST Group knowledge of any of its applicable technology and products to create tangible business advantage for our clients.

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND PERFORMANCE MEASURES

  • Meet/Exceed revenue targets assigned for the Oil and Gas service net contribution as a set and agreed in the business plan by the Sales Manager
  • Provide information into and support the implementation of a 3-year growth strategy with the sales manager and leadership team
  • Ability to negotiate agreements and close client contracts in the best interests of AST Systems
  • Apply, and contribute improvements to, AST policies and practices to maximize client satisfaction and retention
  • Demonstrated initiative in acquiring market knowledge, to ensure full utilisation of services to the customers.  Keep up to date with product/service changes and be integral to new product/service development activities
  • Management and mitigation of client concerns
  • Assist with project management processes with internal and external stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Technical background and/or technical qualification in a related technical engineering science
  • Self-motivated, self-starter who can demonstrate an enquiring mind
  • The equivalent of three or more years of business development/sales experience including lead/opportunity management with proven services sales track record in the upstream oil and gas sector
  • Proficient with Microsoft Applications: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication skills required both oral and written. Excellent presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to balance multiple competing priorities, meeting deadlines, be responsive and thrive in a team environment
  • Willingness to learn and to rapidly adapt to changing market conditions
  • Understand financial controls and metrics
  • Leadership and Teamwork - Ability to interface and effectively work with various groups and cultures involved (from direct Oil and Gas service partners, engineering consultants, contractors, operations, etc.), and gain alignment to achieve objectives
  • Proven track record of leading by example and use influence internally to attain goals
  • Preference to those candidates who also have experience with the FPSO market
  • Ability to travel UK and Globally to meet clients.
