I joined AST in January 2019 in the role of Solutions Manager with responsibility for the assessment and onboarding of new products and solutions, whether developed in house or from our partners, in to the AST portfolio.
Prior to joining AST I worked for a variety of national and international companies, covering sectors from Banking and Finance to Manufacturing and Telecommunications, in roles primarily focussed on the delivery of projects and programs for customers around the globe.
Working for AST has provided a whole new raft of challenges and opportunities to get stuck into, particularly as we change our focus to solution sales and services.

I joined AST after a sales and marketing career in various companies involved in the Beauty & Wellness industries.
I had been wanting to get exposure to a different sector and was offered a job at AST as a Sales Manager for marine satellite communications.
Satellite communications is something totally different and not related to what I have been doing, being a non-technical person picking it up was tough at first, but it didn’t take me long to adapt into this environment with the support of my team in AST. I am enjoying the journey with AST and am glad that I took on this challenge.
During my close to two years with AST I’ve gained not only product and industry knowledge, but also been given the opportunity to meet and work with a diversity of customers and suppliers/agents.
I started with AST as a Project Support apprentice, in which my role was primarily to maintain documentation for software development projects. I joined looking to gain more knowledge of software development and pursue a career in this field.
AST supported me through my apprenticeship with on the job training, specialised courses and personal development, resulting in an Apprenticeship Award. Upon completion on my apprenticeship I was offered the position of Technical Administrator and training has continued, helping me progress further.
I have found my role to be interesting and engaging, having the opportunity to work with a supportive team has been incredibly rewarding. My time with AST has given me a better insight into the industry and allowed me to progress within the company.
As Activations and Billing Team Leader for AST Australia (ASTA) I handle all the bill runs, pricing and pricing updates. I also handle all ASTA activations as well as assisting with EOM reporting, pricing and plan solutions for the sales team and inbound customer service.
A very interesting, multi-faceted role that provides new challenges to take on each and every day.
I’ve been a part of the ASTA team for over 7 years now, and looking forward to many more.
