Satellite airtime works much in the same way as a mobile phone contract, you can choose a monthly service option (post-paid service), or you can buy top-up vouchers (pre-paid service).

Satellite phone or Wi-Fi terminal rentals can often be a cost-effective alternative to purchasing expensive equipment for short term usage, or from paying high GSM roaming data charges.

Personal use
