Applied Satellite Technology (AST) Joins the Space East Cluster to Accelerate Innovation in Space Exploration

Ethan Gray embarked on his apprenticeship journey two years ago.

The apprenticeship is part of AST’s mission to foster exciting young talent in the industry. It provides the transferrable skills, knowledge and behaviours required to successfully work in the digital sector. 

Our aim is to meet the need for regional skills required by IT Technicians in the local area. The apprenticeship provides an entry point into the digital sector from which apprentices can choose to gain professional body recognition, go on to further study or progress their careers in the workplace. 

The course is intended to meet the standard required for endpoint assessment and create apprentices prepared for modern working life within the sector. This is achieved through knowledge modules in college, which are then applied in the workplace to build skills.

Ethan Gray embarked on his apprenticeship journey two years ago. A dedicated and hardworking individual, he expressed gratitude to AST for providing him with a transformative learning experience:

"The Information Communication Technician apprenticeship at AST has been an incredible opportunity to develop my skills and gain practical knowledge in the field. I am grateful for the guidance and support I have received from my mentors and colleagues, and am eager to continue contributing to AST's technological advancements."

- Harvest Technology Group and The AST Group announce a global reseller agreement and solution partner arrangement.
- This partnership builds on the early agreement between AST Australia and Harvest Infinity (a subsidiary of Harvest Technology Group) established in 2020.
- Partnership of two companies who understand the challenges of remote operations and networks and are driven to provide solutions that improve customer value and operational effectiveness.

Early in 2020, Harvest Infinity wholly owned subsidiary, Harvest Infinity Pty Ltd, entered into an initial Agreement with Applied Satellite Technology Australia Pty Ltd (AST) to work together for development, marketing, and distribution of the Nodestream™ technology through AST’s global satellite connectivity network. 

This partnership is now global, with both parties agreeing to a long-term reseller agreement and solution partner arrangement. This reflects the aligned intention of both companies to expand into a worldwide commercial commitment that presents a unified approach to global opportunities within the spheres of remote communications and operations around the world.
